THOMAS POUND - PRESIDENT
Thomas comes to us with many gifts and talents. He has served on several state committees including public advocacy groups and labor unions. Thomas currently represents the Teachers Association of Lee County as a building representative. He presently teaches financial literacy at Cape Coral High School and was the program developer for the required high school course covering financial literacy, now required for every high school student before graduation. Thomas also has a financial business and does yearly taxes for several clients. He is a registered financial advisor with credentials which include Series 7 and 66. He holds both a Baccalaureate and a Master’s degree in education which adds to his wealth of people skills that will come in handy when dealing with this new role of Vice President.
CAROL DAVIS - SECRETARY
Carol Davis, 20 year USA Dance member, loves to dance and share "USA DANCE, INC.” with new dancers in our community. You will see her with a smile on her face and her camera on her arm looking for dancing news to share with our dancers and the public.
Served as Chapter President #6049 and #6123: received as president # 6049 chapter award "National Chapter of the year 2008". Served as Assistant District Director for District 9; worked at USA Dance Central Office; Founded Cape Coal Chapter 6123; plus initiated two Cape Coral programs (Four Freedoms Park Ballroom Dance classes and Special Populations Ballroom Classes-both in existence for 11 years.
2013: #6049 USA Dance Chapter Volunteer of the Year; USA Dance District 9 Volunteer of the Year; and USA Dance National Volunteer of the Year 2013. " One of my greatest honors I received for something that I love to do.
My greatest pride and joy is our adult “Special Populations” Ballroom Dance program as their dance coach. (City facility for adults with special needs) The dance team had received the "2019 USA Dance National Honorable Mention Award". Our 11th year program has provided the community with our dance achievements. Different teams have danced for several city mayors, chapter events and recently for the” Night to Shine Program” audience of over 1000. Carol performed with one of her ‘Special’ dance students. She and two assistant helpers coach class each Monday to two different groups of dancers. “This is her ‘love’ project!”
JENNIFER BRANDON - TREASURER
Dr. Jennifer Brandon met her husband dancing in Burlington Vermont. They have been dancing on and off since that time. She has extensive experience in community based businesses.
Dr. Brandon also will add a wealth of iinformation in the area of of internet based adversting for the Cape Coral- Fort Myers USA Dance Chapter. But most important is she loves to dance and wants to promote dancing in SW Florida.
